WHAT IS A HORMONAL IMBALANCE?
Hormones are chemical “messengers” that impact the way your cells and organs function. Your hormone levels shift at different times of your life, such as pregnancy, before or after your period, perimenopause, menopause, with medication use, or even as a result from a medical condition. Long term stress can increase cortisol, throwing us off balance and wreaking havoc on our body, mind, and spirit. Changing hormone levels can affect cortisol levels, while high cortisol levels can also cause adrenal fatigue and ‘burn out’
